The prestigious global competition for entrepreneurs, organised by the renowned consulting company EY, has its roots in the United States since 1996 and in the Czech Republic since 2000. This international competition, known as the EY Entrepreneur of the Year, boasts uniform evaluation criteria, which allows participants to be compared on a global level. Today, the competition is regularly held in nearly 60 countries on six continents.

Each year, the jury recognises outstanding entrepreneurs in different categories, first in regional rounds, then at national level. The winner of the Czech round then represents the Czech Republic at the prestigious world final in Monte Carlo, where the title of World Entrepreneur of the Year is decided.

The competition is not only a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit, but also an inspiration for future generations. The media partner of this event is Seznam Zprávy, which brings up-to-date information and stories of exceptional entrepreneurs.
