History of the VM Footwear s.r.o. company
VM Footwear s.r.o. was founded in 2003 by just one owner, with purely 100% czech capital. Since its inception, the company engaged in the development, import and distribution of personal protective equipment.
Sales of comprehensive range, highly specialized collection of occupational, safety and outdoor footwear and work gloves, is conducted exclusively through regional trade partners – dealers throughout the whole area of Czech and Slovak Republic.One of the main visions of the company is to bring always something new, novel, with extraordinary qualitative value thanks to which the company became a natural first choice for satisfied customers in many areas.

- 2005 - expanding imports and sales of a new collection of work and safety footwear under its own brand VM
- 2006 - import and sale of comprehesive collection of industrial safety shoes
- 2007 - building of distribution chanels, expanding collection of work shoes in the Czech Republic
- 2008 - expansion of export sales - building a sales network in Slovakia
- 2009 - strengthening its position in both markets, the gradual expansion of the collection
- 2010 - development of new collection of outdoor footwear
- 2011 - 2013 - strengthening its position in both markets, the development and expansion of special footwear, ESD footwear, Anticut shoes etc.
- 2014 - stabilization of the sales team, stabilization of growth
- 2015 - 2016 - development of pro-export activities to countries: Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania
Company strategy
Strategy of the company VM Footwear mainly consists in differentiation and specialization of products. Emphasis is placed on maximum differentiation of product lines that always brings something new and novel with above-average qualitative value. We put great emphasis on maximum service in relation to the customer.
Differentiation is reached by the four following ways:
- high technical standard which in case of the sold products means their above-standard qualities such as: antistatic footwear ESD into special premises, special anti-cutting shoes, non metalic shoes, high antislip shoes, welders shoes etc.
- high quality – involving other products with higher added value in the form of used purely natural materials of a higher quality and thickness than in commercially available products, etc.
- high service and after-service standard – personal contact is stressed, building trust based partnerships, above-standard VIP care, deliveries all in and just in time, free samples and promotional materials, on-line stock information etc.
- way of offer ”more value for the price comparable to competition” – i.e. maximal support and promotion of own products by means of added value in each case, e.g. maximal size assortment, better utility properties, longer guarantee and warranty periods, etc.

Apart from the products themselves, the company provides a comprehensive logistics service (import) of door-to-door commodities, consisting of a comprehensive logistics service to customers. In practical terms, it is a business and logistics activity to offer a complete logistics service to the customer, including: selection of commodities in the Far East, quality assurance at the place of production, organization of sea and land transport, customs clearance, forwarding and delivery to the customer's warehouse, external services. It is an activity providing complex import-logistic service to medium-sized wholesalers and processing companies that do not have their own purchasing department equipped with capable managers who are able to buy goods and raw materials directly from the manufacturer in low-cost and exotic countries.
